Prof. Dr. Martin Wietschel is the Deputy Head of Competence Center Energy Technology and Energy Systems, Coordinator of Business Unit Energy Economy. From 2002 to 2011 he was a member of the Competence Center Energy Policy and Energy Systems at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI. From 2005 to 2011 lecturer at the ETH Zurich and since 2008 adjunct professor at the University of Karlsruhe, (now Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)).
His research focuses are energy system analysis, evaluation of new energy technolo-gies, new mobility fuels and propulsion systems (e.g. batteries, fuel cells, and metha-nol), hydrogen economy, energy storage options, and Power to X options (mobility, heat, and industry).
